PRINCIPAL'S REPORT
International students
At Sunshine Beach State School, we are lucky to be an accredited International School. This term we have welcomed 19 international students for short-term enrolments and currently have 8 long-term students within our student population.
This is a wonderful opportunity, not just for our visiting students, but for all of our students to make global connections during their primary school years. All of our students have the opportunity to share their culture with each other, which enriches not only their social connections but also their learning opportunities. It is absolutely heart-warming to see the way our Sunshiners welcome international students into their classrooms and their genuine excitement when they get to know each other. Our international program is one of the many things that makes Sunshine Beach State School a good place to be.
Noosa Country Show
The annual Noosa Country Show was held at Pomona last weekend and we had the opportunity to showcase some of our students work. Thank you to those teachers and students who volunteered to showcase their work and also to Kathryn for setting up the display. I know some of our students who spotted their work were very excited to see it displayed!
September holiday break
It is hard to believe that we are already at the end of Term 3 – time has flown by since July! I am thoroughly enjoying getting to know all of our students and families at Sunshine Beach. With the holiday break upon us, please keep an eye on our beautiful school. If you notice anything suspicious, please don’t intervene but phone School Watch on 13 17 88. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for the very warm welcome to Sunshine Beach over this term and wish you all a safe and relaxing holiday break. I look forward to welcoming everyone back to school on Tuesday 7 October for the final term of the 2025 school year.
