Term 4 Beginner Learn to Surf
It is that time of the year again when we team up with Surf Dancer to offer a discounted 4-week surfing program for the first 27 students that register and make payment. This program is suited to beginner surfers, either first timers or those who have surfed a little and would like to improve skills and confidence.
- When: Wednesday mornings (commencing 22 October, 4 week program). Meet at 6.15am.
- Where: Meet at Access 12 car park Noosa West beach.
- Who: Years 2-6 beginner surfers. Numbers will be limited so will be on a first in basis. If registrations are full please advise Tamara Brazier so your child can be put on a waiting list.
- Transport: Parental arrangements. Parents must remain on the beach and be present to assist their child if required.
- Prerequisites: Strong swimmer (swim 50m continuously)
- Cost:
- Using own soft board $30 per session (total $120); using surf school boards $40 per session (total $160)
- Payment for all four sessions is due in advance, either via bank transfer or cash at the first session.

Representative School Sport
Queensland Schools Track and Field
Best wishes to Leo S. from Year 5 who will be representing Sunshine Coast Region at Queensland Schools Track and Field Championships early in Term 4. Leo will be travelling to Townsville to compete in the Discus event.
Aquathlon and Triathlon
A suitable event for our athletes who are both good swimmers and distance runners.
In 2026, the Queensland Representative School Aquathlon and Triathlon State Championship will be held in Hervey Bay.
The upcoming All Schools Triathlon and Aquathlon will be used to pick Sunshine Coast Regional teams. This event is happening at Lake Kawana, Sportsman Parade, Bokarina on Saturday 11 October and Sunday 12 October 2025.

Schools Skateboard Competition
Buddina State School will be hosting their annual skateboard competition 14/11/2025 (TBC). In the past we have had several students enter this event. We have been advised that registrations will be open via “LIVEHEATS” within the next few weeks. In addition to doing the registration process could families also email Mr. Porter that they are participating.
Interschool lifesaving
A Year 6 Interschool Lifesaving competition will be held on Monday 24 November. Parental transport arrangements will apply. Further information and registration are available on our website.
