SUNSHINE UPDATES
Prep Fusion – A Taste of Italy, Movement and Music
Families of children starting Prep in 2026 are invited to join our next Prep Transition event on Tuesday 19 August from 9.00–10.00am. This engaging session includes obstacle courses, ball games, music and dance in the arts room, and an Italian language lesson with our specialist teacher, Silvia.
The morning is an important part of helping young learners feel confident and connected before their first day of school. Exploring different areas of the school and meeting familiar faces along the way supports a smooth transition into Prep.
Registration is essential. https://sunshinebss.schoolzineplus.com/form/585
Celebrate Reading – Friday 22 August
Friday 22 August is all about books! Our Book Week Parade will take place from 8:45 to 9:45am on the oval, with all Prep to Year 6 students invited to dress as their favourite book character. Families are welcome to come along and enjoy the fun.
It’s also the final day of the Premier’s Reading Challenge. What better way to wrap up weeks of reading than with a celebration of stories and imagination?
Attached is the CBCA Book of the Year shortlist—a great source of inspiration for costumes or your next great read!
Message from Department of Transport & Main Roads

These visits are part of TMR’s ongoing commitment to ensuring the safety of students, parents, and staff during school drop-off and pick-up times.
