Performing Arts
It has been a jam-packed and exciting term in Performing Arts! Our talented Sunshine Singers wowed the crowd at the Choral Fanfare, proudly bringing home a Silver Award. The Music of the World incursion was a huge hit with our Year 5 and 6 learners, sparking curiosity and creativity across cultures.Meanwhile, the Humarimbas were played with great enthusiasm by our Year 3 to 6 students, creating a lively and engaging musical atmosphere that was enjoyed by all.
Next term, we will shift our focus from Music to Media Arts and present our annual Performing Arts showcase, the Sunshine Spectacular, in Week 5.

New guidelines for positive school communication
The Department of Education Queensland has released updated guidance to support open, respectful communication between families and school staff. These recommendations outline what’s fair, reasonable and expected—helping everyone work together in a positive and productive way.
Prep Transition Program
Enrolment interviews have now commenced. Please hand in completed forms, proof of residence and birth certificate or passport to the office so that a time can be arranged for interviews (Tuesdays and Thursdays).
Playgroup will recommence in Week 2 of next term but at a more suitable time for families which is 3-4pm. After school fun for all! Keep an eye out for more information soon.
Lost property is having a moment…
Our lost and found has officially reached capacity with three full containers of jumpers, hats, lunchboxes and mystery items patiently waiting to go home. If you’ve noticed something missing (or even if you haven’t), now’s the perfect time to take a look.
We’ll be donating unclaimed items soon, so please check in before they disappear for good!
