Parent Teacher interviews

Parent-teacher interviews will take place toward the end of this term. Keep an eye out for an email from your child’s class teacher with booking details.

This is a great opportunity to discuss your child’s progress and ask any questions about their learning. Each interview runs for approximately 15 minutes. If you’d like a more in-depth conversation, please contact the class teacher to arrange an alternative time.

Choice Theory and Behaviour Focus  - Sunny Solutions

Sunshine Beach State School implements the Sunny Solutions behavior management strategies to help students develop effective problem-solving skills. These strategies include Ignore, Walk Away, Talk Friendly, Talk Firmly, and Seek Support. By teaching students to ignore minor issues, walk away from potential conflicts, and use friendly or firm communication, the school empowers them to handle challenging situations independently. If further assistance is needed, students are encouraged to seek support from teachers or staff. This comprehensive approach not only promotes a positive learning environment but also builds students' confidence and self-esteem, helping them navigate social interactions both in and out of the classroom.

NAPLAN information session

Help ready your child for NAPLAN by attending the Twilight information session at 6 PM on Thursday, 6 March. In collaboration with P&Cs Queensland, the session will provide you with valuable information on NAPLAN and how it supports the learning progress of your child. Additionally, you will learn tips on supporting your child to do their best and how NAPLAN’s tailored test design will adapt to each student.
