Second-hand Book Stall – supporting Chaplaincy
Please keep children's books coming - we are hoping to have a bumper book stall next term. They can be placed in the box in classrooms or office. A huge thank you to St Andrews College for their donation of numerous boxes of books - we can't wait to share all these with you in Term 3.
End of day reminder
We kindly remind all families that at the end of the school day, students and parents are asked to promptly leave the school grounds. Please avoid gathering near buildings or allowing children to play on the playground equipment, as the playground is out of bounds outside of school hours.
Our teachers continue working after students are dismissed, and your cooperation helps ensure a safe and respectful environment for all.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
Before school supervision reminder
A gentle reminder that students who arrive before 8:00am are asked to wait quietly in the area outside the office. This helps to ensure they are in a supervised space while also allowing our staff to prepare for the day ahead. Where possible, we encourage arrivals after 8:00am to support a settled start to the school day.
Students will be dismissed from this area by a staff member and may then walk to their classroom areas. Once there, students must remain near their rooms and may engage in quiet activities such as reading, chatting with friends, playing handball or other calm games.
Please note that active games like tag or those involving large balls should be saved for first and second breaks.
We appreciate your support in keeping our school mornings calm and safe for everyone.
Winter uniform reminder
With the cooler weather well and truly here, we’d like to remind families of our school uniform policy for winter.
To stay warm, students should wear the school vest or zip-up jumper. Alternatively, plain blue jumpers—free from symbols, sports logos, or hoods—are acceptable.
If students choose to wear beanies to school, these must be placed in their school bag before entering the classroom. School hats are still required for all outdoor activities and during break times.
Thank you for helping us maintain a consistent and practical uniform standard during the colder months.
Prep Transition Program
Next Thursday is our Storytime in a Prep classroom—a key part of our Prep Transition Program.
This special event helps children become familiar with our classrooms, meet our friendly staff and enjoy a fun storytime session alongside other future Preppies. It’s a wonderful opportunity to gently introduce your child to the school environment and build confidence ahead of their first year. We’re looking forward to seeing you there! Registration essential: PTP Prep 2026 - Story time in a Prep classroom Term 2
Playgroup update
Our Thursday playgroup sessions are on pause for the remainder of this term. We’re reviewing options for Term 3 and will share more information early next term. Thank you for your understanding.

Year 2 students had a delicious hands-on experience making gli gnocchi as part of their Italian studies. What a wonderful way to wrap up their learning about the importance of food in Italian culture!

A big thank you to the Italian Language Centre for supporting the day and sending Sonia to work with each class. We’re also grateful to Piero dad for lending a hand in the kitchen, and to Davide and Barbara from Trattoria Benati restaurant. Davide, a former school parent, said he was blown away by the students’ enthusiasm for Italian food and language.
We've included the recipes - buon appetito!
Emerald Animals bake sale supports rescue sanctuary

Emerald Animals is a student-led not-for-profit group, created by a group of caring Sunshiners who wanted to give back and help animals in need.
Recently the team held a bake sale to raise funds and awareness for Willow Tree Sanctuary, an animal rescue close to their hearts. In just one afternoon, they raised an impressive $152!
Well done to Holly and William, Mia, India, Imani and Chalcot for their hard work. Romy was missed on the day due to illness.
